Word of god
Word of god
“Says the LORD.
But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit.
And who trembles at My word.”
Isaiah 66:2b
The very Word of God is the source of truth which sanctifies us (John 17:17)
and reveals His will to us. Inspired by the Holy Spirit to
human authors, the Scripture of the Lord is both instruction and
encouragement.
There are many people in this world who do not believe in the
authority and revelation of God’s Word. But even more
dangerous is the fact that many in the professing church
are rejecting the absolute truth and infallibility of the bible.
Even if they accept some parts of the Word, they tend to reject,
spiritualize, or ignore other parts.
If we reject even one single part of God’s Word, we are
guilty of rejecting the truth of it all!
However, those who believe and act upon the reality of the
Word of God are truly His children. We cannot disbelieve any
part of what God says because if we don’t believe one part,
then why would we believe another. And even though there
are some passages in the bible that may be difficult for us to
understand we must remember that God does not change
(Malachi 3:6) and everything He says is life and truth
(Deuteronomy 8:3; John 17:17). We must put our faith in
Him into action and trust that we will eventually understand
what He is saying in His Word.

We must also remember that life is about learning and growing in the Lord. We will not understand everything He says to us right away. Some things are revealed in just the right time and at just the right moment, when we need to learn it the most for whatever situation we are going through. The Lord is faithful and merciful and He will shed light on His will for our lives in His time.
As you study through this section on God’s Word, may you come to the understanding that His Word is knowledge for our salvation and the only source for truth and light in a world of darkness.
“and that from childhood you have known
the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make
you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine [teaching], for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete,
thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:15-17
“I will worship toward Your holy temple,
and praise Your name
for Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your Word
above all Your name.”
Psalm 138:2
